Remember when we kissed all night
in taxis
bar booths
theatres
in takeaways
phone-boxes
queues
in fields
on cliff-tops
white sands
in crowds
in ostentatious style
with absolute certainty
standing in rivers
rolling on haystacks
in tents
in love…
To lose ourselves in kisses
was all we ever wanted
‘lose yourself in kisses’
that’s all we ever whispered
Do you remember the last time we kissed
anywhere
anywhere at all…
[2017]
Thanks for reading.
You can´t find more places for love, love is in the air…..
Nice poem, nice meeting another poet that is a good one.

Kissing – intense – in tents. Whether intentional, or accidental, was lovely!

Glad you picked that out Peter. Intentional and about as close to a ‘joke’ as you’ll find in my work. Glad it tickled you. 😃

Sad…evokes that new-love excitement that most often fades with time….

Thank you for reading! Absolutely, it so often ebbs and that’s a tragedy for all involved. ☄️

Fantastic ending! I need to take notes on your style. It’s always impeccable.

Thank you! I would say this one is ver atypical of my usual style – or my ‘current style’ at least. In fact, I’d like to get back to this shorter and more succinct way of writing.
